Two lovely friends of mine chose to tie the knot in 2026, and I was so honored to design their wedding stationery. The central element is a custom illustration featuring the two of them in an elegant pose.
After a long discussion about the wedding itself, I got to work sketching pose options for the illustration. We decided that a standing pose was the winner because it felt like a classic wedding composition that could be refreshed for their modern, party-style ceremony.
The rest of the design (typefaces and layout) kept things simple. We discussed incorporating colors from the event scheme, but ultimately decided that a black-and-white final edition of the save-the-date mailer was a winner—friendly and unpretentious.
